Khagen Engti

Khagen Engti is a retired teacher. Since his youth, he has consistently worked to preserve Karbi culture and language. He has written books in Karbi and is the first to have translated major works of renowned writers into Karbi. He has translated Birendra Bhattacharya’s “Mrityunjay” and “Iyaruingam” from Assamese to Karbi. He has also translated D. D. Kosambi's “An Introduction to the Study of Indian History” into Karbi.
