Harekrishna Deka

Harekrishna Deka is an eminent Assamese poet, novelist, essayist, translator, and former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer. Born in 1943, he studied English literature before joining the IPS, eventually serving as the Director General of Police of Assam. Alongside his distinguished career in public service, he established himself as one of the foremost voices in modern Assamese literature.
